Espera!

Fica aqui comigo no nosso mundo...

A piece of sci-fi...

At first, it looked like a normal depot. If only she hadn’t heard those metallic sounds… Luckily, she had her shotgun with her. On those days, people couldn’t afford to risk their own lives. Actually, she had already heard stories about robots that could think without human interference, although no one really believed in them.
But the proof was right in front of her: fifteen robots working together on what seemed to be a larger robot in construction. Probably a mass destruction robot that could put the human race in danger… And there was no one to keep an eye on them. She noticed that the robots were connected to a large but unprotected power source.
“They may be on low battery…” she thought.
She took her shot. A single bullet could damage the whole system, the robots wouldn’t be able to restore their batteries and she could use the advantage to kick their butts. But as the bullet got near the power source, a blue sphere surrounded it. A shield! No wonder why it seemed so unprotected!
The robots noticed her presence and started shooting randomly at her direction. She decided that the game had got out of hand, and she ran as fast as she could into the nearest depot.
She stood there, hiding in the shade, hoping they hadn’t followed her… She was scared and exhausted. Therefore, she had to make a great effort to inhale without making any noise. In fact, she had stuck her neck out when she peeked into the depot. She was alone and she had to stand on her two feet. The only thing she could use to help her was the shotgun she was holding tight.

(To be continued…)
(Don't know why, but writing sci-fi in English makes the whole thing much more easy... I'm sorry if there are mistakes in it, but I'm still waiting for my English teacher to correct it. But I couldn't wait to post it!)
